Frequently Asked Questions About Yoga Hikes & Vortex Tours in Sedona

Note: We are permitted for operation on the Coconino National Forest by the U.S. Forest Service.

Do I need hiking or yoga experience?

Not at all. Our yoga hikes and vortex experiences are designed to be accessible for all levels. The pace is relaxed, and the yoga portion is suitable for beginners and experienced guests alike.

How difficult are the hikes?

Most hikes are considered easy to moderate, with plenty of time to move at a comfortable pace. We select routes based on the experience you’re looking for and can help guide you toward the best option for your group.

What is a vortex in Sedona?

Sedona is known for areas of naturally occurring energy, often referred to as vortex sites. Many visitors report feeling a sense of calm, clarity, or connection in these locations. Our guided experiences offer light context around this while keeping the experience grounded and accessible.

What’s the difference between a yoga hike and a vortex tour?

A yoga hike includes a scenic hike combined with a guided, all-levels yoga practice at a beautiful location.
A vortex tour focuses more on the landscape and energy of Sedona, with time for reflection, connection, and exploration, without a formal yoga session.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing water, comfortable hiking shoes, and layers depending on the season. Yoga mats are provided for yoga hikes, and you’re welcome to bring a blanket or anything additional for comfort.

Where do the experiences take place?

We offer yoga hikes and vortex tours within Red Rock State Park and the surrounding Coconino National Forest. Locations may vary depending on group size, timing, and conditions.

Can this be booked as a private experience?

Yes—many of our experiences are booked privately for couples, groups, and special occasions. We can tailor the experience based on your group size, preferences, and schedule.

Are permits required for these experiences?

Yes. We are permitted to operate within the Coconino National Forest through the U.S. Forest Service, and our experiences are conducted in accordance with all required regulations.

What if I have mobility considerations or special requests?

We’re happy to help guide you toward the most suitable option. Feel free to reach out in advance so we can recommend the best experience for your needs.

Down Dog Sedona Five Star Review

My daughter and I had the pleasure of going on a trail and vortex hike with Everett. He was awesome. His knowledge of everything Sedona was impressive and highly educational. He was very friendly and personable. He took us to an out of the way trail 🤫 where the only sounds we heard were those of nature and the views were awe inspiring. I would definitely recommend looking them up if you're planning on taking a trail hike.

Everett was the nicest guide! He picked us up at the hotel and took us on a private tour on a trail that is unique! We got to feel and measure the energy pulling , amazing landscapes, almost no other tourists on the trail (even though it was memorial day) and connect with nature. He also took the best pictures of my friend and I and explained the science behind the so called “Vortex” in Sedona. Fully Recommend!!
